Only 23 of the world’s top 50 universities have published guidance about the use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT on their website, according to a new study. The researchers behind the finding call it "concerning", and argue that more clarity on AI is needed, so that staff and students can be sure of how they are allowed to use it in an academic setting.
