PTE CLASSES

PTE, or Pearson Test of English Academic, represents a computer-based assessment of academic English proficiency. This digital evaluation method is designed to measure the listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills of non-native English speakers, gaining wide acceptance for student and migration applications in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.

PTE offers global testing accessibility, with more than 295 test centers distributed across over 50 countries. This computer-based test employs the use of a computer and headset for listening, reading, and responding to questions. The test session, lasting 3 hours, is divided into three distinct parts: speaking and writing combined, listening, and writing.

PTE Scoring

The PTE Academic Score Report comprises your overall score, communicative skills scores, and enabling skills scores. The overall score, ranging from 10 to 90 points, reflects your overall English language ability and is determined by performance on all items in the test.

Communicative skills scores, encompassing listening, reading, speaking, and writing, also range from 10 to 90 points. These scores are derived from all test items assessing these particular skills.

Enabling skills scores, which include grammar, oral fluency, pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary, and written discourse, are also measured on a scale of 10 to 90 points. Like the communicative skills scores, these scores are based on all test items assessing the respective skills.

  • Part 2: Reading (32 – 40 minutes)
